L88 Explosion
L88 Explosion
Yes, there was an L88 Explosion at the 2018 Bloomington Gold Corvette show!
There were 12 1967 L88 Corvettes, 10 1968 L88 Corvettes, and approximately 25 1969 L88 Corvettes on display at the 2018 show. Yes, there were more produced, but experiencing the efforts that the current owners went through to get their Corvettes to the show and to place them on display is exemplary!
Several of the L88 Corvettes featured in my book were in the Special Collection. If you are an L88 Corvette enthusiast or a 1968 Corvette enthusiast, I would suggest that you keep checking my L88 Corvette site, as 10 years down the road is a long time from now. The only guarantees in life are taxes and death and there might not be another collection like these L88 Corvette collections ever again.
Previously in 1988, 1998, and 2008, Bloomington Gold featured anniversary displays of L88 Corvettes in their Special Collection. As a matter of fact, I was in attendance at all three of these previous shows. So, I can personally tell you that these are very special displays. All three years of L88 Corvette production were featured in the display: 1967, 1968, 1969.
The L88 Corvette is the most desirable model from 1967-1969 and as of date, they are the most valuable Corvettes ever built from the factory.
Why are the L88 Corvettes so valuable? Find out in my publications!
My L88 Corvette book is still available at my eBay store where you can shop and purchase as a Guest. My text book documents the development and motorsport history of the L88 Corvette. My first three issues of my Corvette Legends Magazine cover the development of the factory produced 1967 L88 Corvettes and their factory predecessors.
If you didn’t make it to the show, check back with me at this site for photos and updates from the L88 Explosion! I also have photos of all the previous L88 collections as well. Yes, there were other L88 Corvettes on display at the previous shows that were not present at the 2018 display.
